McTominay could end up in Fulham’s arms.
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has been linked with a January move to Fulham.
McTominay has fallen out of contention for a starting spot since the arrival of Eric ten Haag. He was linked with a move to West Ham this summer, but the deal ultimately fell through.
McTominay played just nine minutes before the international break in September. That means McTominay is not in Van Gaal’s plans at all. Nonetheless, it’s hard not to get excited about the Scotland national team. McTominay scored six goals in five Euro 2024 qualifying Group A games. The Scotland ace is an indispensable ace, and he’s a candidate to not play at all for United.
Van Gaal said he would use McTominay more often, starting him in back-to-back games against Brighton and Burnley. However, it’s hard to say that he’s suddenly won the starting job.
Local outlet Manchester Evening News reports that Fulham are set to make a January move for McTominay, and United have no intention of letting him leave.바카라
Fulham looked set to lose key midfielder Juan Palinha to Bayern Munich this summer. However, Palinha’s move to the Bavarians fell through after he traveled to Munich for a medical. Fulham presented him with the gift of an extended contract, which is likely a way for the Bavarians to get a better deal when they approach him again in the future. Munich are expected to resume their pursuit of Palinha in January. So Fulham could be thinking about signing McTominay in case Palinha leaves.
If McTominay does leave United, it would open the door for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who has lost his place at Tottenham, to join United. According to the Manchester Evening News, if McTominay leaves, the Red Devils will be looking for midfield reinforcements to fill the void and could bring in Hojbjerg, who has been benched under Ange Postecoglou.
