‘Nuclear bomb’ jibe upon PSG departure “Saudi is better than Ligue 1”

“The Saudi league is better than Ligue 1.”

No sooner had ‘superstar’ Neymar left France than he took a jab at his former employers in Ligue 1. He said he preferred his new home, the Saudi Professional League.안전놀이터

Neymar is considered one of the best attackers in the world. He opted for a shock move this summer. He left Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), where he had played since 2017, for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal.

While his position at PSG was unstable, Neymar’s decision was also influenced by the aggressiveness of Saudi clubs in making “crazy” signings this summer. Starting with Cristiano Ronaldo last year, this summer has seen the arrival of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Sadio Mane, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Leo Varane. The players have become so lavish that they can’t be accused of following the money. Neymar’s new team Al Hilal alone has added Aleksandar Mitrovic, Sergei Milinkovic-Savic, and Malcom to its roster, in addition to Koulibaly and Neves.

Neymar has yet to make his Al Hilal debut due to injury. He is expected to make his debut after the international break with the Brazilian national team. “The soccer ball is round everywhere,” Neymar told French outlet L’Equipe, “but I think the Saudi league is better than Ligue 1, considering the ‘big names’ that make up the league.”

Neymar added: “Training is very intense. We are hungry for the title. I want to win the title with Al Hilal, I don’t care what people say. They say Ligue 1 is weak, but it’s been tough for me. The Saudi league will be interesting. I’m sure you will see some interesting football,” he explained.

Neymar hasn’t played since February due to an ankle injury, and Al Hilal’s generosity in allowing him to join the Brazilian squad was much appreciated. “I feel good and I’m happy. Obviously, I’m not 100 percent. “I was going to make my debut for Al Hilal as soon as possible, but I got injured in training and the coach decided to leave me out, so I was able to come to Brazil. I was urged by my family and friends to return to the national team. When I put on the Brazil jersey, it makes me realize that it’s worth it to keep being happy.”

Neymar will most likely make his debut against Al Riyadh on Sept. 15 (local time).
