Gangwon FC fails to escape bottom spot with loss to Daegu

Gangwon FC collapsed against Daegu and failed to escape the bottom of the table.

Kangwon, led by Yoon Jeong-hwan, lost 0-1 to Daegu FC in the 29th round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 at DGB Daegu Bank Park on April 1. After failing to pick up a point, Gangwon remained in last place with three wins, 12 draws and 14 losses and 21 points. Eleventh-ranked Suwon Samsung was fortunate to remain on one point after losing to FC Seoul.메이저사이트

On the day, Gangwon conceded an early goal. In the 14th minute, Sejingya received a pass from Hong Chul and drove inside the left penalty box before finishing with a left-footed shot. Even with Kang Touji closing in from behind, Sejingya didn’t falter and finished her shot. Gangwon tried to counterattack with Vitor Gabriel, but his shots went wide of the goal. Daegu suffered a setback when their ace, Sejingya, had to be substituted out in first-half stoppage time due to an injury sustained in a tussle with Kang Tooji.

However, Gangwon was unable to create a goal against Daegu without their ace. In the second half of extra time, Cho Jin-woo was sent off for accumulating cautions, and despite their numerical advantage, they were unable to create any chances and lost 0-1. After a 2-0 win over Ulsan Hyundai in Round 26, Gangwon has gone three games without a win (one draw and two losses), making it even harder to escape the relegation zone.
